At the height of her accounting career Bev was escorted out of her office on a stretcher by EMT's and rushed to the hospital. At the age of 56 she had suffered a life-threatening heart attack. An awakening to what stress, burning a candle at both ends, and being overweight can do to a body.
Since her recovery, she has devoted herself to health education. She returned to school with the goal of educating herself, helping her family and others to adopt a healthy lifestyle one step at a time. She believes that weight loss diets are not lasting, but nutritional and lifestyle changes over time are lasting and can make a huge difference in your health.
Bev began her health studies in aromatherapy and earned a Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy. Then she passed the national exam for a Registered Aromatherapist (RA) through the Aromatherapy Registration Council. She co-founded the Alliance of International Aromatherapists and during the 10 years she was active, she served as treasurer, president and executive director.
Bev attended Trinity School of Natural Health where she completed the Doctor of Naturopathy program, passed the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board exam and earned the recognition as a Board Certified Traditional Naturopath.
Bev is passionate about helping individuals apply natural lifestyle approaches to heal and healing potential through her writings, seminars and counseling.
